Monday

The nature table right now :O)

On top you see Jack Frost and Mrs. Thaw
(Farbror Frost og Fru Tø). Below are Mother
Earth and two small Root Children
moder jord og rodbørnene)

In 'The Story of the Root Children' by Sibylle von Olfers,
the small root children were fast asleep all winter long -
waiting for the snow to melt and the spring to come...
then mother Earth came and woke them up.....and
asked them to make the finest dresses for spring;
the snowdrop chose a snow-white cloth, the
buttercup bright yellow...and they started to
sew.....and we'll have to wait a bit so see
what then happens... ;O)

Jack Frost and Mrs. Thaw, as recounted in
Ollie's Ski Trip by Elsa Beskow. Jack Frost,
who makes everything sparkle, and Mrs. Thaw,
who makes everything melt....
